GUIDELINES FOR RENTAL OF THE VILLAGE SQUARE THEATRE

Rental of this facility will be considered for individuals or groups who are offering contributions to the civic and cultural arts of the community. Long-term rentals or rental for theatrical productions are handled on an individual basis and these guidelines may not apply.

RENTAL FEES (Full payment of the rental fees is required seven days prior to the days reserved. Failure to provide full payment prior to the rental period, without written permission from the LCAA Board of Directors or its representative will render the rental contract null and void.)

  • Rental Fee:$ 50.00/hour (no LCAA Technical Operator assistance) 
  • Rental Fee:$ 60.00/hr (Fee includes LCAA Technical Operator assistance)
Daily rental times are calculated from the earliest time of the day that occupancy begins through the ending time of occupancy for that day.

A Security/Cleaning deposit of $100 will be required from those renting the facility. The deposit will be refunded if the premises are left clean and undamaged. Any costs to LCAA to clean or repair damage to the facility in excess of the deposit will be the additional responsibility of the renter.
 

USE OF EQUIPMENT AND FACILITIES:

The stage is equipped for standard lighting with halogen and incandescent lights. These do not require the presence of an operator.

If the Stage Production Lighting and/or Sound equipment is to be used, LCAA must approve the individual operator or an LCAA operator must be used.

The renter is responsible for removing all trash resulting from their occupancy.

The Lexington County Arts Association is not responsible for any accident, injury or loss of property that may occur upon the premises during the term of the rental agreement.

The use of any intoxicating substances on the rented premises is strictly prohibited without prior written permission of the Lexington County Arts Association Board of Directors or its’ representative.

Smoking is not permitted anywhere inside the building.

The renter shall make no alterations of any kind to the rented premises without written permission of the Lexington County Arts Association Board of Directors or its representative.

The seating capacity of the auditorium is 225.

Due to fire codes no chairs can be placed in the aisles, in front of the permanent seats or in front of the exits.

Cancellation within seven days or less before your event will result in forfeiture of your security/cleaning deposit.
